A wild man crafting cider from wild apples and wild yeast, Mathias came in on a gale from the Finger Lakes of Upstate New York to continue the time honored Maine tradition of highlighting and celebrating local bounty. Aside from cidermaking, when he's not looking for his sweet deaf dog Sir Lees in the raspberry bushes or troubleshooting the darned label printer, Mathias plays Old-Time banjo and tells stories about mountain lions.
We make dry cider from mostly Maine-grown heritage apples. We take the best the land has to offer and turn it into thoughtful, imaginative cider.
We are located at Shalom Organic Orchard & Winery on 40 acres of MOFGA certified organic farmland.
We acknowledge that the farm, orchards, and tasting room are located on the traditional territory of the Wabanaki Confederacy and the Penobscot (Penawabskewi) Nation.
